What causes stench

Stench is caused by oxidation or reduction. While oxidized fragrances distinguish themselves by their musty nature, reduced fragrances are often identified by a rotten smell.

What is odor neutralization

We speak of odor neutralization if there is no resulting smell, pleasant or unpleasant, observable. Masking agents have lately come more and more in a negative light. This is because the fact that masking agents must be used in rather high concentrations in order to be effective. This gives the feeling that something is hidden that should not be hidden. When it comes to fighting stench, nothing is better than neutralization with essential oils.

What are essential oils?

Essential oils are liquids that are extracted from plants through pressing, extraction or steam distillation. Essential oils evaporate easily and handle the air without an oily residue. They are extremely complex organic compounds that consist of hundreds of components and trace elements.

Neutralizing agents, which contain mainly essential oils, are very effective because the essential oil-water-complex makes a thin film around the stench molecules. Essential oils produce a reaction product with no observable smell.
